Springfield Finance Control Board approves fiscal 2010 buget, avoids further layoffs

SPRINGFIELD – The Finance Control Board Tuesday approved a new $528.6 million budget that prevents further layoffs and maintains basic services. The vote occurred on the final day of the Control Board overseeing the city.
